This is your moment..own it
Sometimes we just need to let go of the story we are telling ourselves. Those beliefs we hold in our subconscious that we are not even really aware of…can hold us back. They limit us in so many ways. It is often something that has been said, often years ago that has lodged itself and we’re not even aware of it. Imagine that you think a certain way because of something that was said decades ago. I hear this all the time from the women who come to me.
You may think or even say to yourself, “but I’m just not confident and that’s the way I am.” Even…”I won’t change now”. I hear this so often but we know now that doesn’t need to be true. Today’s neuroscience tells us we can change those neural pathways and you can write yourself a new story at any time my friend. Neurons that wire together fire together. Build a growth mindset instead of being stuck in that fixed mindset, where you see challenges as opportunities for growth.
Saying yes to something, no matter how small can help boost your confidence and stop those anxious thoughts that keep you playing safe. Sometimes it can mean a new perspective of being kind to yourself no matter what the outcome. A “you’ve got this” voice in your head and not a mean one is a beautiful start. Women like Michelle Obama and Beyonce too have admitted they have also experienced the I’m just not good enough feeling too. But they felt scared….and did it anyway. I want you to know you can too.

Sometimes life events and happenings can affect our confidence of course. We replay the story over and over in our minds until playing safe has become the default. If you don’t do anything new you can’t get anything wrong can you? Sounding familiar? I know it will because I’ve been there too. It can take a little work and a bit of help but it is all possible for you please know that. It’s not too late!
